A Message from the President.
Are you a child of the 60’s? I can remember the “March on Washington”, the Beatle’s invasion on the U.S., and Dianna Ross and the Supremes! Many of us also remember the fight for civil rights, the right to vote and the right to live, work and play wherever without intimidation or prejudice. I sometimes reflect upon those times when America was a far different place. Denver has become the place where all can now celebrate access to healthy living, civil unions and in most cases a bias-free work place.
I invite you to join the Urban League of Metropolitan Denver as we celebrate the 2013 Whitney M. Young, Jr. Annual Dinner. This year’s dinner theme is “Redeem the Dream” and will be held Saturday, June 22nd, at 5:30 pm at the Marriott City Center. Join us as we reflect, rejoice and rededicate ourselves to the “Dream”.
